​Our Client

Our client, a private wealth manager, is currently looking for a Portfolio & Risk Analyst – Business Change for its London office. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering and developing the portfolio, programme and project governance as well as leading on portfolio and team risk management.

The role reports to the firm’s Head of Business Change

Key Duties

  • Carry out comprehensive Operational Resilience scenario analysis twice a year and carry out four additional scenario tests in conjunction with the Risk business partner.

  • Collaborate with project managers and the Risk business partner to improve the risk management process across projects and the portfolio.

  • Develop the benefits management process to provide foresight across the entirety of the Business on material initiatives.

  • Collaborate with project managers to create a regular flow of firm-wide communications about the progress that the firm is making.

  • Refine and administer the processes by which the business manages interdependencies across the book of work.

  • Refine and administer the processes by which they monitor resource capacity and resource allocation.

  • Support the ongoing governance and assurance arrangements, especially around the creation of roadmaps.

  • Excellent writing skills.

  • Practical working knowledge of risk amongst other project control processes.

  • Strong communicator with effective negotiation skills.

  • Competent and confident with the Microsoft Suite and Confluence.

Required Experience

  • Familiar with the principles of portfolio, programme and project methodologies

  • Degree from a Russell Group university at 2:1 or 1st.

Your Profile

  • Over 3 years of portfolio management experience in financial services.

  • Prior experience of introducing new portfolio processes which add structure to a complex business organisation

  • Practitioner accreditation in the leading portfolio, programme and project methodologies, i.e. P30, Prince2, MSP and MoP.

  • Thorough understanding of the way that a wealth management firm operates
