Challenge: Effect Meaningful Cultural Change

Specific Requirements: Our client’s previous CCO had been in position for 13 years and senior management was looking to reinvigorate the function challenging a feeling of business complacency without causing dramatic fallout. This client was a trustee-led business with a fundamental risk aversion seeking a CCO who engendered deep trust.

The Client: Largest interdealer broker in the world

Mandate: EMEA Head of Risk & Compliance, based in London

Challenge: The broker has a very distinct and robust business culture which contrasted with a conservative senior management.

Specific Requirements: Our client was looking for a CF10 who could liaise seamlessly between broker and board, who would also be responsible for oversight of the compliance function in EMEA. This position reported directly to the COO and was ultimately responsible for compliance, regulator and risk matters relating to the business. They were looking for a very specific profile: someone with resilience, commerciality and comfortable with liaising at the very highest levels.

Challenge: The client required a finely-balanced mix of Legal and Compliance experience.

Specific Requirements: Our client was fundamentally looking for someone who could carry a dual role, balancing oversight of compliance and including the managing of its commercial counsel, who was primary responsible for corporate, contracts and employee matters.

The individual had to have the finesse and force of personality to manage relationships with their Fund Managers.
