​Our Client

Rutherford has been mandated on a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Compliance Officer to join our global hedge fund client’s London team, reporting into the Head of Legal of Compliance.

​

Main Duties

Key responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing advice to portfolio managers, traders and other employees within the business.

  • Acting as the point of contact for the business when liaising with the regulator

  • Identifying and processing any forthcoming regulatory developments that would have an impact on the business.

  • Assisting the Head of Legal and Compliance with the firm’s money laundering obligations.

  • Communicating effectively and concisely with the wider management on compliance related matters.

  • Enhancing compliance policies and processes to minimise regulatory risk.

  • Evaluate third-party vendors and service providers for compliance with regulations and policies.

  • Facilitating new joiner training and assisting in developing the wider compliance team.

  • Leading and coordinating ad-hoc project related work ensuring efficient delivery.

Your Profile

  • 5+ years relevant experience within the investment management industry.

  • Strong academic record – a degree in finance or law would be advantageous.

  • Ability to make accurate and well informed decisions.
