Our Client
Our client, a leading global insurer, is currently looking for a Senior Compliance Officer to provide insurance expertise in international insurance transactions, focusing on e-trading everywhere the business transacts insurance. The position also involves regulatory oversight of the Canada office, improving the framework.
This role can be based in either London or the United States with a hybrid working model.
Main Duties
Key responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:
Maintaining global regulatory requirements
Assisting in cross border matters that impact insurance
Providing advice on regulatory matters
Horizon scanning in relation to changes in regulation
Supporting on regulatory reviews
Acting as North American representation for international compliance
Providing training to Canadian staff
Liaising with required regulators
Assisting members of wider compliance team
Developing understanding on e-trading/digital insurance
Understanding the product suite
Your Profile
Experienced compliance professional in the insurance market - preferably Lloyds Market or from the regulator
Excellent understanding of the regulatory environment in relation to insurance
Cross border/international experience is desired but not essential
Interest in the technology space also advantageous
Understanding of the Canadian insurance market is also advantageous
Leading a risk assessment and implementing a compliance plan
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
