Our Client

Our client, a rapidly-growing New York based private equity fund, is currently seeking a Legal Counsel - Funds for its London office. The main purpose of this role will be to represent the firm's private funds based in Europe on a vast array of matters, from capital raising to regulatory issues to fund formation and structuring.

This role presents a fantastic opportunity to join a global firm and to tangibly contribute to the expansion of a growing business.

Main Duties

Key responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:

  • Negotiating numerous agreements with counter parties such as fund managers

  • Drafting and reviewing legal documentation such as partnerships agreements and private fund offering materials

  • Providing legal advice on the potential offering of new services and products across jurisdictions

  • Drafting and reviewing contracts

  • Liaising with external counsel in relation to several legal matters

  • Assisting with regulatory filing

Your Profile

  • 3 - 5 years PQE within the investment management space (private equity or hedge fund), more specifically in fund formation

  • Solid understanding of Luxembourg corporate structures and regulatory matters

  • Qualified in EMEA or the US

  • Also beneficial for this position: sound understanding of fund and cross-border regulations
