Our Client

Our client, a boutique financial services regulatory consultancy, is looking for a motivated regulatory managing consultant with strong consumer credit, mortgages and insurance experience. The candidate will directly report into the Head of Department and sit within the wider Risk team which is focused on helping clients ensure they receive timely and salient regulatory advice in a rapidly evolving space.

This is an exciting opportunity to expand the firm's offering. A commercially aware and proactive approach to Compliance Advisory is required.

Experience

Candidates should have experience or knowledge in some or all of the following areas:

  • Strong academic background

  • 5+ years of compliance, specifically advisory experience within a regulated environment

  • Good depth and breadth of knowledge in consumer credit, mortgages and insurance

  • Experience gained at a financial institution, legal practice or regulators. However, previous consultancy experience is preferred

  • Deep understanding of the FCA's policies and procedures

  • Proven track record of business development and client management

  • Report writing and strong communication/delivery skills

Experience or knowledge in the following areas represent an advantage:

  • Mentoring/training

  • Authorisations

  • Drafting policies & procedures

  • Regulatory reviews

  • Broader sector knowledge (may need to assist wider teams on a board range of regulatory matters)
