Our Client
Our client, a leading quantitative hedge fund, is currently seeking a Trade Surveillance Analyst to join its London office. This role is a great opportunity for an individual to join a truly global organisation whilst gaining exposure to a fast-paced and dynamic environment within the surveillance team.
Main Duties
Key responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for the timely analysis of alerts leading to the detection and prevention of market or firm damanging misconduct
Conducting daily analysis of automated surveillance alerts through SMART
Identifying potential concerns and escalate to relevant stakeholders
Contributing to the design and development of models to enhance surveillance coverage
Compiling analysis into meaningful summaries and make findings available to relevant stakeholders, such as Legal and Compliance
Active involvement in enhancing current surveillance controls and developing new surveillance tools, reports and procedures
Your Profile
Bachelor's degree from a Russell Group university with a minimum of a 2:1 in Mathematics, Economics or a related field is essential
The ideal candidate should be able to display an interest in technology and how it applies to financial services
The successful candidate should ideally have experience in Financial Services Compliance, within a surveillance team coupled with a good understanding of financial markets, products and services
Experience working in a complex work environment
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
A resourceful self-starter with an ability to overcome obstacles
Demonstrated high level of initiative and analytical skills
