Our Client
Our client, a leading buy-side asset management firm, is looking for an Operations Analyst - Securities Clearing & Settlements for its London office.
They are looking for an individual who will provide operational services across all of their investment management units, covering all securities for all markets. The successful candidate will also have to oversee the timely confirmation and settlement of all securities' trades, as well as manage reconciliation breaks between the firm's investment book of record and the counterparties' records.
Key Responsibilities
Main duties will include, but are not limited to:
Monitor and clear all unconfirmed and failing trades for Equity and Fixed Income
Ensure the cancel and amend process for all trading desks is managed and adhered to
Trade amendments, event processing, and reference data maintenance to ensure accurate representation of positions, P&L, and exposures in the risk management systems
Act as a central point of contact for all broker queries
Act as a subject matter expert internally for all equity & bond across the firm
Investigate and clear all trade and position breaks in Securities transactions
Investigate and clear all cash breaks related to Securities transactions
Improve STP rates with Custodian and Prime brokers
Liaise with global Technology & Operations counterparts on a variety of strategic initiatives to provide expertise for processes and systems, assist in testing technology rollouts, and driving enhancements to existing systems & processes
Your Profile
Undergraduate degree preferred
Background in Investment Management, Investment Banking or Securities’ Clearing strongly preferred
Understanding of Equity/Bond products
Direct experience of the clearing and settlement processes for securities a key differentiator
Familiarity of DTCC-CTM/OTM, Traiana, Failstation and/or Salerio
