Our Client
On the behalf of a leading buy-side (multi-strategy) client, we are looking to hire an experienced Investment Operations Analyst to support the Firm's derivative trading desks. A critical trading operations function at a Global macro quantitative hedge fund, this position is for a technically savvy individual with a good understanding of OTC derivatives.
The Role
Day-to-day support for the derivative trading desks - working closely with traders on a variety of OTC derivative products. To ensure Trade capture of all products including but not limited to Equity Swap, Credit, Rates, FX in external trade matching platforms, highlighting any issues to traders and counterparties in a timely manner
Responsible for making sure that all trades booked by the Funds' managers are true and accurate
Key involvement in improvements made to the Funds' trade booking systems
Main Responsibilities
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Monitor and clear all unconfirmed Equity Swaps via Traiana
Act as a central point of contact for all broker queries Equity Swap
Investigate and clear all trade and position breaks in Securities transactions
Investigate and clear all cash breaks related to Securities transactions
Trade capture, Credit event processing, and reference data maintenance to ensure accurate representation of positions, P&L, and exposures in the risk management systems
Liaising with global Tech & Ops counterparts on a variety of strategic initiatives to provide expertise for processes & systems, assist in testing technology rollouts, and driving enhancements to existing systems & processes
Collating and presenting key governance metrics to the business on a regular basis
Act as a central point of contact for all broker queries
Act as a subject matter expert for OTC Derivatives
Improve and ensure the integrity of OTC Derivatives data across the Firm
Where possible automate the end to end processes
Ensure all processes meet the minimum Audit and Internal Control framework
Maintain awareness of compliance and regulatory data requirements and ensure impacts are managed appropriately
Your Profile
Operational knowledge of Equity Swap Credit Default Swaps, Interest Rate Swaps, FX;
Familiarity with either Traiana, ICELINK, Markitwire, DTCC, ICE-econfirm, MISYS & MTM desirable
At least 3+ years of Operations experience within a Hedge Fund/Asset Manager/Investment Bank
Good STEM Degree or direct Industry experience
