Our Client
Our client, a leading Private Equity firm with c. $25bn in AuM, is currently looking for a Head of Compliance. The successful candidate will support the firm in managing and further developing a best-in-class global Compliance function. Leading a small team of compliance professionals, the Head of Compliance will also be expected to hold the SMF16 and SMF17 functions in due course.
Main Duties
Provide oversight to the firm's compliance function, team and strategy
Report to the Board on compliance and risk matters, whilst advising its members on developments, processes and any relevant updates
Provide regulatory advice and liaise with outside legal counsel when necessary
Represent the firm in any communication piece or dealings with the regulators
Implementation of compliance monitoring programme, compliance manual and its associated policies
The maintenance of compliance in line with applicable regulatory requirements (MiFID II, AIFMD, SMCR, MAR, etc.)
Manage the business' compliance training programme
Actively promote the further development of a compliance management culture within the company
Your Profile
University degree - further legal training desirable, though not necessary
Preferably experience within private equity
Good technical sills across general compliance areas and disciplines
Risk management experience or knowledge desirable
Strong leadership skills with a demonstrable track record in managing teams
The ability to advise senior management
