Our Client
Our client, one of the top real estate investment managers in the world, is currently looking for an Associate General Counsel for its London office.
The successful appointee will be protecting the firm's rights, obligations and privileges as well as its legal interests. The purpose of the role will be to provide legal advice and to ensure that all legal activities meet the firm's current and future needs. The successful candidate will also be asked to provide legal advice and counsel in specific business areas such as real estate, corporate law, compliance, etc.
Main Duties
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Providing legal advice, guidance and counsel to the firm's management team
Supporting the operations of the legal department
If required, providing support in the protection of the firm's rights in contract negotiations, settlements and litigation
Identifying, evaluating and addressing matters of legal risk
Researching, analysing and interpreting proposed and existing laws, statutes and regulations
Advising the firm's management team on recent changes in laws and regulations that will affect the business
Liaising with external counsel on legal matters in relation to the firm's protection
Liaising with external counsel to seek advice on issues that may impact the firm
Your Profile
A minimum of 5 years' PQE required, though 7 years is preferred for this position
