​Our Client

Our client, a leading UK bank, is seeking an Advisory Compliance Manager to sit within their Conduct, Compliance and Operational Risk team. The role will require working with the business and covering regulatory change with a primary focus on EMIR, MIFID II and MiFIR and to provide necessary input in oversight of CSDR and SFTR related activity.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for advisory input with a primary focus on EMIR, EMIR Refit, MIFID II, and as necessary input in oversight of CSDR and SFTR related activity.

  • Provide oversight of relevant BAU and regulatory queries.

  • Provide advice on regulatory change requirements.

  • Establish understanding of the ongoing relevant change program status.

  • Provide 2LOD input/oversight in regulatory traceability activity.

  • Participate in the relevant industry Working Groups to obtain insight in industry direction on given topics.

  • Participate in the relevant internal working groups and Steering Committees as required.

  • Support Conduct, Compliance and Operational Risk team and relevant business in upskilling colleagues in these regulations.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree

  • A minimum of 5 years financial services compliance experience within a commercial banking environment is essential.

  • Proficient knowledge of financial market products.

  • SME knowledge of regulations and regulatory issues within the financial services sector relating to EMIR/Dodd Frank, EMIR Refit, MIFID II / MiFIR.

  • Experience in developing, producing & analysing reports to identify key risk and compliance issues

  • Experience of senior business management engagement.

  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to influence and engage across a broad range of stakeholders.

  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines, detail oriented with the ability to manage and deliver several projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to work autonomously with a proactive approach

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to understand and convey complex information.
