​Our Client

Our client, a leading financial services firm, is currently looking for an Information Security Analyst to join their London office. The role will report into the firm's Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

This role calls for a confident candidate who is keen to accelerate their information security career in a challenging and intellectually stimulating environment. You will be part of a fast-paced and busy Information Security team within an industry leading organisation.

The Role

This role is suited for a candidate who is a couple of years into their Information Security career and is looking to make a change into an exciting and technology-driven firm. Strong academic background and ambition required.

You will be covering business-as-usual activities, but there will be significant scope to develop responsibilities and position within the organisation.

The role demands a solid grounding and understanding of Information Security, Cyber Security and Data Privacy, whereupon the successful candidate will obtain hands on experience operating as a key member of the Information Security team servicing and addressing security subject matter in all areas of the global business.

Initially WFH, the role will be mainly based in the firm’s City of London offices in the future, with flexibility dependent upon the business’ operational requirements and at the CISO’s discretion.

Main Duties

  • First line handling and/or escalation of tickets, emails and queries assigned to or requested of the department.

  • First line incident triage and response of security events and incidents received or observed by the department.

  • The running of daily, weekly, monthly processes, and maintaining procedural documentation.

  • The identification and creation of new processes and controls to further enrich and mature the security state.

  • Identification of new and preparation of existing reports and metrics from departmental systems and processes.

  • Assisting with the running and maintenance of the departments technology and cyber security systems.

  • Risk assessment of projects and initiatives undertaken by the business, technology and InfoSec departments.

  • Carrying out gap analysis and security reviews in relation to deployed technologies and security controls.

  • Cyber threat analysis of the global technologies’ estate and global business operations.

  • Assisting with third party risk management/oversight, including due diligence exercises.

Skills and Experience

  • Information Security / Cyber Security degree preferable – minimum 2:I

  • Minimum of 2 years of corporate/professional experience

  • Security industry certifications, such as; CISSP, CCSK, CCSP, CEH, CHFI beneficial

  • Experience within the financial sector a significant benefit

  • Good organisational skills, self-motivated

  • Analytical judgment and decision-making skills

  • Good written and verbal communications skills

  • Must work be able to work well under pressure - in a team and alone

  • Ability to adapt and adjust rapidly changing priorities whilst maintaining efficiency

  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems

  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and security specific enterprise controls

  • Strong technical knowledge of cyber security threats and countermeasures
