Our Client
Our client, a leading venture capital firm within the Web3 space, is currently looking to hire a Head of Legal in London. The firm works with a range of start-ups in the technology and digital assets environment.
This position will be responsible for providing strategic advice across all aspects of legal, compliance and governance. The Head of Legal will report directly into the COO and includes the management of 5 lawyers. The successful candidate will possess strong knowledge around Web3 and Cryptoassets.
Main Duties
Key responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:
Advise the senior management team including board and CEO on the overall legal, commercial and regulatory strategy
Experience within Web3 and Cryptoassets is essential
Provide all necessary legal input on transaction and contractual negotiations
Ensure the firm remains compliant with regulatory standards and advise the firm on any upcoming regulatory developments
Provide advice on structuring matters including accelerator programmes and ecosystem partnership programmes
Provide legal support and guidance to portfolio companies within the ecosystem
Develop and manage strong relationships with external law firms
Oversee the contract management process for the firm's accelerator programmes
Your Profile
7 - 10+ PQE solicitor (ideally UK qualified)
Ideally with experience in either venture capital, corporate or regulatory background
Proven ability to lead negotiations and manage high value transactions
