Our Client
Our client, a leading financial services technology firm located in the city of London, is looking for a Head of Infrastructure. This role presents an excellent technology change & transformation opportunity.
The successful appointee will be responsible for the management and technical direction of the firm's entire infrastructure team, covering engineering and operations as they are currently undertaking a major technology transformation program.
Main Duties
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Drive the firm’s technology architecture function in order to support overall business objectives
Spearhead the business’ cloud transformation journey
Work with the firm’s product and quantitative modelling organisations to then develop business needs into architecture and integrate them into the longer-term platform strategy
Mentor colleagues and team members
Your Profile
Strong experience in managing infrastructure teams (min. 10 pax) across operating systems, networks, databases, security and cloud
A solid knowledge of cloud infrastructure technologies (AWS is strongly preferred)
A technical background in infrastructure engineering
STEM degree (BSc minimum)
Highly desirable – site reliability engineering expertise
Also useful – project management
