A leading global alternatives asset manager headquartered in London is looking for an experienced Operational Risk Analyst or Associate who is looking to progress to a VP/AVP level role.
The role sits within the client’s Central Risk function – overseeing the risks and control measures across the Group’s Investment activities as the 2nd Line of Defence.
Main Duties
Key responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:
Manage operational risk interface with specific group business units
Lead, challenge and review Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSA)
Collation and reporting of KRIs
Produce concise Management Information, Group Risk monthly reporting and board reporting packs
Collation of operational risk scenarios for capital reporting requirements
Act as a key liaison between the business and Internal and External Audit
Perform thematic risk reviews and projects to enhance business processes and the control framework
Your Profile
Degree – preferably in a STEM subject
Minimum 4 years Operational Risk experience within Financial Services
Hedge Fund or Asset Management knowledge strongly preferred
Good knowledge of operational risk methodologies, principles and internal/external controls
Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels across the business
Ability to challenge business stakeholders objectively and effectively
