Position Overview
The successful Associate will play a key role in providing expert legal advice and responsive service to the firm's esteemed clients, which include global corporations, financial institutions, and investment fund managers. Working closely with senior counsel and partners, the Associate will contribute to the practice's growth and success by delivering high-quality work and fostering strong client relationships.
Responsibilities
Provide technically sound advice and highly responsive service to clients on finance matters
Support colleagues, senior counsel and partners on all client engagements
Maintain a strong record of revenue generation and profitability, adhering to recommended billing rates and managing costs effectively
Proactively assist in developing and expanding client relationships, taking ownership of core client development, and participating in associate-led business development initiatives
Contribute to the practice's knowledge sharing, participating in conferences, seminars, client presentations, and internal training
Adhere to the firm's values and professional ethics, proactively seeking resolution of conflicts.
Requirements
England & Wales qualified lawyer with 1-7 years PQE
Excellent academic record
Ambitious and commercially driven
Strong legal skills with an understanding of relevant market, client industries, and technical knowledge of finance law
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Collaborative team player, willing to support others and contribute to their development
Offshore jurisdiction experience and/or familiarity with offshore financial service providers preferred, but not essential
Proficiency in using legal precedents and timekeeping, and billing systems
Ability to support efforts to attract new clients and develop new initiatives
