​Our Client

Our client is an established insurance company based in Belgium, seeking a skilled Data Protection Officer (DPO) to ensure compliance with data protection regulations and maintain data privacy.

Main Duties

Key responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure compliance with data protection laws, particularly GDPR.

  • Develop and implement data protection policies and procedures.

  • Conduct assessments to identify risks and gaps in data protection practices.

  • Advise and guide employees on data protection issues.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate data protection into business processes.

  • Manage data subject rights requests and respond to data breaches.

  • Conduct data protection impact assessments (DPIAs).

  • Stay updated on data protection regulations and recommend necessary actions.

  • Liaise with regulatory authorities as needed.

Your Profile

  • Extensive data protection and privacy experience, preferably in insurance or regulated industries.

  • Strong knowledge of GDPR and data protection regulations.

  • Experience in policy development and implementation.

  • Ability to conduct assessments and manage breaches.

  • Privacy practitioner’s certification such as CIPP/E, CIPP/M or equivalent.

  • Fluency in English and Dutch/French.
