Our Client
Our client, a technology firm who has just completed a Series D funding round, is currently seeking a Cyber Security Manager for its London office. The company is a data intensive organisation with a sophisticated platform helping the banking and insurance sector. The successful candidate will be joining the firm's Information Security function and will protect the business against information and cyber security threats.
Reporting into the Head of Information Security, you will notably monitor and respond to incidents across all locations.
Main Duties
Key responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:
Overseeing the enhancement and improvement of the firm's current alerting and monitoring processes
Actively collaborating with the company's new manager MSP to develop security use cases
Onboarding new log data sources
Developing automated incident response processes
Acting as a mentor and leader to the Information Security team and ensuring the growth of staff members' technical capabilities
Ongoing management of the firm's outsourced security operations to identify potential security threats which need escalation
Identifying log visibility gaps and drive log ingestion in the firm's SIEM
Providing assistance with the reviews of security architecture
Alongside the information security team, owning the incident response and management process, and also responding to security threats or incidents in a timely manner
Maintaining and owning the cyber essentials, certifications and programme
Providing support for the maintenance of ISO/IEC 27001 and SOC 2
Your Profile
Solid understanding of several information and cyber security related matters, such as operating systems, vulnerability management, penetration testing, incident response and cloud security
Knowledge of scripting within an integrated environment such as Python
Previous experience of identifying security control gaps and driving control enhancements across a business
Solid knowledge of information security and the threat landscape to enterprise systems
The ability - and commitment - to obtain industry-recognised security certifications
Salary for this position: £85,000 - £90,000 and remote working options (twice a month in the office).
