​The Role

Our client is looking for a commercially savvy professional services Director to lead their UK Cloud and DevOps business. The business line is particularly focused on digital transformation using AWS and associated DevOps capabilities. This is an opportunity for a well-connected expert to lead and grow their line of business. You will leverage your client contacts and AWS connections to develop and win a large pipeline of projects and bring new logos to the business.

You will be a thought leader and market maker who can share their strategic point of view to delight clients and develop the brand to become a strategic AWS/DevOps partner.

Your Profile

Key skills required include, but are not limited to:

  • Scaling a business at pace including setting the propositions, go-to-market strategy and managing the sales and delivery teams to deliver on the business plan revenue, profit and headcount growth goals;

  • Significant experience in customer-facing positions as a professional services leader;

  • Significant experience leading enterprise-level IT consulting programs, contracting procedures, standards and specifications;

  • Outstanding customer relationships management, sales and collaboration skills;

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product and technical challenges;

  • Consulting practice leadership and scaling with P&L responsibility;

  • Experience leveraging formal program management methodologies on enterprise level engagements;

  • Excellent people management skills, including the ability to influence, negotiate and achieve results through others including those who are not direct reports;

  • Developing pragmatic IT strategies and plans relating to Private and Public Cloud with a strong understanding of the Cyber Security implications;

  • Assessment of an organisation's IT infrastructure landscape and development of technology architectures;

  • An understanding of how an IT function operates with experience in assessing and designing cloud target operating models;

  • Development of process design for cloud adoption;

  • An understanding of the theory and practical implementation of DevOps, DevSecOps and Agile methodologies;

  • An understanding of emerging and innovative technologies, and how to shape IT strategy and delivery in order to leverage those technologies;

  • Certified/experienced in cloud technologies (AWS);

  • Familiarity with industry-recognised methodologies (eg. TOGAF, ITIL)

This is an opportunity for a truly entrepreneurial individual to make a difference and directly benefit from the success they create. They will be a member of the UK management team and will represent the UK in all things AWS/DevOps across the Group.
