Our Client
Our client is a FTSE250 listed company which provides information services to financial services firms across the globe.
The business is now looking for a Risk & Compliance Analyst for its London office. The Risk & Compliance Analyst will provide support in duties that ensure the division meets its set risk appetites, is compliant with regulations and reports on necessary risk areas.
Reporting into the Head of Risk and Compliance, the successful candidate's purpose will be to provide critical support to the Risk and Compliance department for the firm's professional and financial services function.
Main Duties
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Gathering information and KPIs used for the division's risk reporting
Providing support in ensuring that policies and procedures are well communicated and understood by members of staff within the division
Supporting the building and maintenance of a strong risk culture
Guiding and supporting peers within the division on basic risk and compliance queries
Providing support in the identification of key risks and emerging risks which arise from business units
Help with the reporting on the direction of risk within the department
Reviewing the division's business continuity cloud and disaster recovery arrangements
Ongoing monitoring of new policies and procedures and ensuring that they are applied across the division
Providing support with the management of sanctions screenings for new and renewed business across the department
Supporting the department with data management and regulatory requirements
Monitoring and maintaining the G&E register for the division
Monitoring and maintaining the Events Risk Assessment register as well
Your Profile
1-3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a similar industry
Experience in reading, understanding and communicating risk and compliance policies
Proven track record in managing risk registers
Good understanding of risk frameworks and presentations
Experience with sanctions
Good knowledge of a variety of risk practices and processes and the ability to communicate broadly
Basic understanding of subscription, events and data business models for information services
