Our Client
Our client, a leading global alternative asset management firm with c. $400bn in AuM, is currently looking for a Legal Associate - Renewables for its London office. The firm owns and operates a large range of assets, spanning across property, private equity, infrastructure as well as sustainable power.
The successful appointee will report into the firm's SVP and General Counsel Europe for the Renewables division. You will be providing legal advice and support on a vast range of commercial and transactional matters in relation to the firm's activities in Europe.
Main Duties
Key responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:
Drafting and negotiating agreements for the acquisition of pipelines of development projects in the renewable energy sector. Assisting with due diligence and transaction closings and advising on effective legal structures for acquisitions
Providing legal support in relation to power marketing and trading activities
Drafting and negotiating numerous commercial contracts
Providing assistance with the integration and compliance matters relating to acquisitions and joint ventures
Overseeing work performed by outside counsel
Supporting the SVP & General Counsel on an ongoing basis in providing legal services for the firm's Renewables division
Your Profile
About 4-6 years of relevant experience in law, preferably within a well-regarded law firm or within a financial services firm's legal department
Educated to a degree level
Solid track record in the renewables energy sector, acquisitions and in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
