​​​Our Client

Our client, a leading law firm, is growing its new regulatory consulting arm and has a key vacancy for a dynamic Compliance Director to join the business. This role is based in the London office, but there is considerable flexbility to work from requiring just 1 day a week in the office. The successful candidate will directly support the Partner in providing exceptional regulatory advice to clients in financial services, including insurers, consumer lending firms, payment firms, banks, fund managers, asset managers and wealth managers. Expertise spans across regulatory change, conduct, assurance, governance and board effectiveness reviews, s166 reviews and redress and remediation.

This is a really exciting time to join the practice as they are at early stages of their develpoment which will entail a huge amount of influence, autonomy and exposure to a wide range of clients.

Main Duties

Key responsibiliites for this position will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing multiple client assignments and client project teams

  • Business development

  • Developing a strong internal and external network

  • Implementing strategy as part of the annual business plan

  • Driving the performance of the team to achieve targets and KPIs, including training and development of juniors

  • Keeping abreast of regulatory developments and the impact on clients

  • Thought leadership

  • Providing high quality advice and dealing with FCA/PRA technical queries

  • Attend client meetings and presentations, support client bids and pitches

  • Writing articles for publications ​

Your Profile

  • A wealth of compliance experience within a financial services/consultancy, combined with demonstrated success in client services

  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence

  • Excellent and broad understanding of the FCA handbook and the legislative and regulatory environment

  • Ability to manage projects and train colleagues

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Analytical and technical, and commercially aware ​

Salary for this position: circa £120,000 + an excellent benefits package. There is also considerable flexibility with only 1 day required in the London office.
