Cyber Security Analyst Job

​The Cyber Security Analyst plays a key role in ensuring the security of our systems and infrastructure, identifying and responding to cyber threats and vulnerabilities, and implementing effective controls and countermeasures to mitigate risks.

 

Cyber Security Analyst Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our systems and infrastructure.

  • Monitor and analyse security logs and alerts to identify potential threats and respond in a timely and effective manner.

  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

  • Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to implement and maintain security controls and countermeasures.

  • Stay up to date with the latest security threats, trends, and technologies, and provide recommendations for improvements to our security posture.

 

Cyber Security Analyst Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field

  • At least 3 years of experience in a cyber security analyst role, preferably in the banking or financial services industry

  • Strong knowledge of security technologies and tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and vulnerability scanning tools

  • Experience with security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO, and PCI DSS

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
