UK equities-focused funds endured their second biggest redemptions on record during the week ended Wednesday, suffering withdrawals worth $1.1bn, figures compiled by EPFR show, highlighting growing investor concerns over the outcome of the June 23 referendum on Britain’s membership of the European Union.
Mirroring the eighth successive week of outflows from UK stock funds, US equities-centric vehicles recorded $3.4bn of redemptions in the week to June 15 – their seventh consecutive week of withdrawals - Lipper said.
