​Our Client

Our client is a well-respected global banking and financial services group headquartered in the United Kingdom. They are currently looking to build out their Collateral Risk Management team here in their main London offices, located in Canary Wharf.

This position sits within the Collateral and Risk function, as a senior leader within the Margin Requirements for Derivatives team. It has a responsibility to control, calculate, monitor and report the BCBS 261 initial margin regulatory environment at regional and group level.

Main Duties

Key responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:

  • Reviewing and understanding the regulatory framework for BCBS 261

  • Working with all stakeholders on the end-to-end delivery of Uncleared Margin Rule (UMR) initial margin

  • Writing and reviewing BRDs across functions

  • Engage in dispute resolutions

  • Working in the development of Collateral & Risk framework for IM

  • Working on developing joint work with Collateral Management and FO

  • Ensure that deadlines set for Collateral & Risk are delivered in a timely manner

  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of submitted data

  • Assist in the development of strategic tools

  • Perform a thorough review of the final data expected to be submitted by Collateral & Risk to downstream users (e.g. Collateral Management Team)

Your Profile

  • Market Risk Management at experienced AVP or junior VP level

  • Team management experience of small to medium size teams

  • About 6 - 7 years of experience within a Market Risk function

  • Strong academics - a preference for STEM

  • A sound knowledge of asset classes (FX, Equity and Fixed Income)

  • A sound knowledge of financial products and key market risk concepts
