A leading global alternative asset management firm, headquartered in London, is looking to strengthen a critical team in the business side of the organisation. Sitting within the global investment operations function, the Solutions team are looking for an experienced Analyst with good experience in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 buy or sell side organisation.
The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of technical skills across data management and analytics.
The Solutions team is the dedicated PM and BA unit of the operations function and leads the deployment of new systems, asset class launches, automation and regulatory change.
They provide integrated technical and analytical support for the operations vertical. A strong affinity for automation, visualisation and coding skills is required.
Main Duties
Key responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:
Act as a central point of contact and technical support for Duco / Tableau queries and ensure timely resolution of queries related to the reconciliations / data workflow function e.g. reference data / regulatory requirements
Process oversight through the provision of meaningful MIS. This would involve ownership of existing Tableau dashboards, and the development of new, Tableau / Python dashboards using source data from Duco Cube or other internally / externally hosted systems
Promote and manage alternative forms of automation within Investment Operations e.g. creation of SlackBots and Mailbots, scheduling scripts, dashboarding, leveraging existing Microsoft products etc.
Liaise with internal clients (such as trading and investment teams, core technology, sales, and new business teams, etc) as well as external counterparties (such as executing brokers, clearing brokers, prime brokers, etc).
Your Profile
Strong academic record–minimum BSc in STEM
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related role
Strong Analytical and Statistical skills
Python & SQL–and a proficiency in a range of open-source frameworks and development tools e.g. NumPy/Pandas.
Experience working with source control tools (Git / Bitbucket) and coordinating code changes•Familiarity with fintech reconciliations tools (Duco strongly preferred)
Experience with visualisation tools and libraries e.g. Tableau
Experience working in a Unix / Linux environmentWorking knowledge of one or more relevant database technologies e.g. Oracle, MS SQL MongoDB.
