​Our Client

Our client, a fintech organisation, is currently looking to expand its security function. As a result, they are looking for a Security Operations Specialist to join their growing team.

This is a great opportunity to join this exciting new phase of growth, you will have the opportunity to play an important role in the development of their Security Operations function as they move from an MSSP to an in-house SOC capability in the next 12 months. The successful candidate will become a key member of the team and will have the chance to suggest new technologies moving forwards, previous experience of playing a key role in implementing new tooling would be advantageous.

Main Duties

Key responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:

  • Triage of security events and examination of notifications from various sources.

  • Contribute to the improvement of SIEM use cases and rules.

  • Examine and address any potential security concerns brought up by our users.

  • Recognize, gather, and analyse internal and external sources of threat intelligence.

  • Have an impact on and promote ongoing development of their SecOps capabilities.

  • Create dashboards and security metrics for SecOps.

Your Profile

  • Proven expertise in SecOps, including using tools like SIEM, SOAR, and EDR.

  • Working knowledge of agile

  • Solid understanding of threat actors and the tactics, techniques, and procedures used.

  • Significant and proven experience working in the cloud, including GCP and AWS

Salary: circa £75,000 + benefits + hybrid working model
