A prominent law firm, is seeking a talented Corporate Insurance Senior Associate to join their market-leading team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled legal professional with 5+ years of PQE experience in the (re)insurance sector to take on a challenging and rewarding role within a supportive and dynamic environment.
Position Overview
As a Corporate Insurance Senior Associate, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional legal services to clients in the insurance industry. You will work on a diverse range of transactions, including M&A, private equity investments, syndicate financings, managing agency arrangements, renewal rights deals, Part VII transfers, and reinsurance transactions such as ADC, LPTs, and RITCs.
Responsibilities
Manage and complete deals effectively from start to finish, delivering legal and commercial solutions
Work collaboratively with clients and colleagues to provide an outstanding client experience
Develop and maintain strong client relationships based on an understanding of their business objectives
Identify and shape commercial opportunities, encouraging others to participate in business development efforts
Work efficiently and commercially, understanding the importance of financial hygiene and sharing this understanding with the team
Adopt a commercial mindset when pricing, resourcing, and using technology to manage matters, considering the impact on profitability
Coach and develop junior team members to help them achieve their full potential
Contribute to a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative firm culture
Requirements
5+ PQE with specialist experience in (transactional) corporate insurance and a strong grounding in this area
Proven ability to manage and complete deals effectively from start to finish
Strong client relationship skills and the ability to understand and support clients' business objectives
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
Commercial acumen and an understanding of financial hygiene and profitability
Commitment to business development, coaching, and developing junior team members
Dedication to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative firm culture
