Our Client
Our client is a well-respected global banking and financial services group, headquartered in the UK. They are currently looking to build out their Collateral Risk Management team in their main London offices (Canary Wharf).
Main Duties
This position sits within the Collateral and Risk function, as an experienced AVP within the Margin Requirements for Derivatives team. It has a responsibility to control, calculate, monitor and report the BCBS 261 initial margin regulatory requirement at regional and group level.
Key responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:
Reviewing & understanding the regulatory framework for BCBS 261
Working with all stakeholders on the End-to-End delivery of Uncleared Margin Rule (UMR) initial margin
Writing and reviewing BRDs across functions
Engage in dispute resolutions
Working in the development of Collateral & Risk framework for IM
Working on developing joint work with Collateral Management and FO
Ensure that deadline set for Collateral & Risk are delivered in a timely manner
Ensure completeness & accuracy of submitted data
Assist in the development of strategic tools
Perform a thorough review of the final data expected to be submitted by Collateral & Risk to downstream users (e.g., Collateral Management Team).
Your Profile
Market Risk Management at AVP or Associate Level
3-5 yrs experience within a Market Risk function
Good academic background – strong preference for STEM degree (min. BSc, MSc desirable)
Strong knowledge of the asset class (FX, Equity and Fixed Income).
Knowledge of financial products and key market risk concepts, such as risk sensitivities, VaR, scenario analysis and capital is required.
Candidates must be diligent, analytical and pro-active, with a desire to mentor and build a strong team ethic.
