Construction Disputes Associate (3–6 PQE) | London | International Arbitration
We are working on an exciting opportunity with a leading international disputes boutique, seeking a Construction Disputes Associate (3–6 PQE)to join its London team.
This role offers the chance to work on high-value, complex international arbitration matters, with a strong focus on infrastructure and major projects disputes involving parties across multiple jurisdictions.
The Role
You will work closely with partners and colleagues on cutting-edge disputes, with responsibilities including:
Developing case theory and strategy alongside senior team members
Taking a lead role in drafting written submissions and managing junior lawyers
Overseeing research and document review processes
Assisting with witness and expert evidence preparation
Liaising directly with clients, experts, tribunals, and opposing counsel
Supporting business development initiatives (publications, briefings, conferences)
Candidate Profile
England & Wales qualified
3–6 years’ experience in
international arbitration (commercial and/or investment)
Strong academic background
Experience in
construction disputes
highly advantageous (delay, quantum, technical issues)
Exposure to sectors such as
infrastructure, energy, mining, or engineering
preferred
Additional language skills are beneficial
Key Skills
Excellent drafting skills with clarity and persuasion
Strong analytical ability across complex legal and factual issues
Solid understanding of arbitration law and procedure
Ability to manage matters efficiently and work collaboratively
Confident communicator with clients and tribunals
