This opportunity offers exposure to complex litigation and arbitration mandates, working closely with experienced practitioners in a fast-paced and intellectually engaging environment. The role provides strong development prospects, with early responsibility and meaningful involvement in matters from the outset.

Role & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will play an active role across the full life-cycle of contentious matters, including:

  • Supporting on early-stage disputes, including urgent applications and alternative dispute resolution processes such as mediation

  • Drafting key legal documents, including statements of case and court applications, and assisting with hearings

  • Managing correspondence with clients, counsel, and other parties

  • Overseeing and contributing to document review and disclosure exercises

  • Undertaking detailed legal research and analysis across a range of issues

  • Assisting in the preparation of witness and expert evidence

  • Contributing to trial preparation and broader case strategy

  • Working on arbitration proceedings alongside court-based litigation

The work may also involve disputes touching on areas such as intellectual property rights, data-related issues, reputational matters, and confidentiality breaches.

Candidate Profile

  • England & Wales qualified solicitor

  • 3-5 years’ post-qualification experience in commercial disputes

  • Background handling complex litigation and/or arbitration matters

  • Familiarity with interlocutory applications, ADR processes, and trial preparation

  • Experience acting for a mix of claimants and defendants

  • Strong academic credentials and excellent communication skills

  • Previous experience gained within a comparable law firm environment

The team is known for its collaborative approach and high-calibre work, offering associates the chance to work closely with senior lawyers, many of whom have advocacy backgrounds. The structure supports hands-on learning and encourages proactive involvement in matters.
