Position Overview
As a Competition Associate, you will play a key role in handling a wide range of matters involving UK, EU and international antitrust, cartel and merger control laws. Working alongside a team of experts across their European offices, you will have the chance to take on meaningful responsibility, conduct your own advocacy where possible and gain valuable exposure to high-profile, cross-border work.
Responsibilities
Support complex merger control and FDI filings across multiple jurisdictions
Assist with cartel, abuse of dominance and behavioural investigations
Provide strategic antitrust advice to leading financial institutions and multinational corporates
Contribute to competition litigation, including regulatory challenges and appeals
Work closely with clients and regulators, maintaining strong professional relationships
Plan, prioritise and delegate work tasks, updating supervising partners on progress
Build strong client relationships through excellent service and communication
Requirements
2-6 PQE in a strong UK or European Competition practice
Excellent academic record with at least a 2:1 degree (or equivalent)
Strong technical competition law experience across merger control, cartel and advisory work
Experience working on complex, cross-border matters
